I am having the same problem as Mark Rhodes posted yesterday. I updated to OS X 10.5.5 on my MacBook, and now I can't open any of my open office files. I'm in the middle of a project and need to open spreadsheets! I am not terrifically computer savvy, so a dumbed down explanation would be very much appreciated!
I read Dan Klinglesmith's answer, and went to this page: http://ooopackages.good-day.net/pub/OpenOffice.org/MacOSX/3.0.0rc2/ I downloaded this file. Is this right? OOo_3.0.0rc2_MacOSXIntel_SDK_install_en-US.dmg But it is a file with lots of folders that I don't understand, and I don't see an installer. Is this supposed to install open office 3.0, which doesn't need x11? I'm sorry to be stupid about this, but I really appreciate any help, because I have been loving using open office!
