The point that Barbara makes and of which James here reminds us is vital - unfortunately, as we have seen recently, from time to time acrimony arises even within our little (by the way, does anyone have any idea on how many persons are subscribed to/participate regularly on this listserve ?) community, and it's not difficult to conceive of «offended» persons retaliating by removing «offenders» not merely from their own inboxes, but also from the listserve.
