This is so ripe with irony that I scarcely know where to begin.
First of all, I downloaded OO in order to avoid paying MS 100 dollars for their
word processing program. OO 3.0 works well enough for me, though there are a
couple of features that I do miss from Word. But, that's okay.
For the last month, I have received at least 30 or 40 posts from OO users in my
email box -- THIS one -- some of which are interesting, and some of which, are,
... well, I delete a lot of stuff everyday, let's just say. And, it IS EVERY
day.
So, yesterday, there is available an update for OO from 3.0 to 3.0.1. I'm
interested, and I go to the site to read about it, and, ...
... I cannot log in. OO site says, somehow, that my username and password are
invalid. In other words, they have no record of me (apparently) having
registered as a user.
Sun does.
Users do. At least the mail delivery system looks like it kicks @ss.
After 20 minutes trying to find a place on the forum to post a question about
this (small potatoes, I know, but, come on! I KNOW my email addy is legit, and
I know my password is, ... I still have the confirmation e-mail in the box.
Before you say it, I've tried that. It won't acknowledge my username, plain
and simple).
My real question?
WHO do I speak to about this? WHERE? In WHAT FORUM? Or at WHAT e-mail
ADDRESS?
Thank you.

P.S.: Icing on the cake, ... the MS Word "trial" program still works on my
computer, a full month past the time it was supposed to have expired.
