I wonder. This sort of change can be useful, but it's /very/ confusing when first met - there's no obvious way for a beginner to work out say that that full-width line is the border of the preceding paragraph. And help's not much help unless you know the magic words, in which case you probably don't need the help anyway :-)
Might it be useful for OOo to pop up an explanatory message box when at least some aspects of autocorrect are triggered - a box which users could disable at their discretion? The message box could at least point to a key explanatory passage in the help file.
