Thank you.

On the link you posted, select mailing lists, item # 4 is;

"4 Please do not send attachments with your message, as they add to the
bandwidth burden we must all deal with. OpenOffice.org features several
other avenues for persons interested in submitting attachments. Check
with your project lead or send a message to [email protected] to
find out which would be best for you."
I see, it was on the linked page:
<http://www.openoffice.org/mail_list.html>

Many thanks, I had missed that.

Hello,

This being said, most attachments are stripped from mails sent to tghe list.
However, odt, ods etc. get through, which is sometimes useful to have easy
access to an example of a problem encountered by a OP.

Would it not be easier, and less bandwidth to just have the
attachment linked instead of attached? I find downloading and
saving attachments slow via email's system. Saving the file
from a link seems much faster for me. That is my preferred
method whenever possible. It does help that I have several
domains to choose from to save the "attachments" to, instead
of the email itself.
