If you only have MS Office and need to use ODF, then it is "ok", but
not a great solution. Does not work well, but it is better than
nothing.
I expect the problems may be caused more by MS Office than Sun, as Sun
is a major proponent of ODF and contributed the base on which it was
built. They should know what they're doing.

Yes Sun is doing everything they can to get others to support
ODF file formats. But MS Office is not. They say that they
will support ODF in the next service pack for Office 2007.
I will believe it when I see it.

MS made a deal with the Library of Congress to start using
the .docx for its e-documents you can download from their
site. That was a ploy to get more people to switch. I think
it just made people, like me, mad. Why should you believe that
this type of company will support their "Rival" format, which
is much better than theirs.

I hope Sun keeps trying to make their file filter addon better
and better. MS will not do the work. They may "adopt" Sun's
source code and call it theirs.

Oh well. If wishes we money, we would all get rich, before MS
will grant them.
