I'm testing the new pre-released version of SeaMonkey (2.0a3pre) and filters can be set on email and newsreader headers. Unfortunately, the headers from Gmane (don't know about regular email) for moderated msgs include two 'Delivered-To' headers: Delivered-To: mailing list [email protected] Delivered-To: moderator for [email protected] in that order. The filter sees the first 'Delivered-To', doesn't find 'moderator' and thinks it's job is done. So it goes on to the next filter. Perhaps if the headers were reversed: Delivered-To: moderator for [email protected] Delivered-To: mailing list [email protected] the filter would work, as it would then see 'moderator' in the first instance, and trigger the filter actions. OOo has repeatedly been asked to address this problem by adding a subject tag [moderated] so that list users don't have to go through hoops to filter moderated messages. I for one no longer care/worry about it. If I see what appears to be an unmoderated msg I _might_ look at the headers and take the time to cc the unsubscribed user. If not... I figure that after all this time, issues filed, and complaints made (on multiple lists and forums), that it's time for the OOo list owner to step up to the plate and *resolve* the issue. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
