I am thoroughly convinced that styles are superior to plainly marking up each section as you go along. However, I am finding it _very_ difficult to get into the habit of actually using styles because there does not seem to be a way to look at a document and see at a glance which styles are applied where.
Is there some "code view" in Open Office, similar to looking at HTML or LaTeX code, that I cold use to see my styles at a glance? I know that ODF is XML but I do not have the resources to write a parser, in any case, I would prefer that the tool be part of OOo where I could switch views at a glance. I ask because I recently had to present a long document where the usage of style was important, as I did not know the (printed) format before I started writing. But in the end I did it in HTML with CSS, because of the ability to easily see what everything is when I need it.
