OO.o 3.0.0 was slow on startup, and 3.0.1 is also slow to start, slower
than 2.4, even with the "QuickStarter" -- which appears only to suppress
the splash screen. I'm hoping that 3.1.0 will be significantly better. I
just has to be better.
Occasionally OO.o stops responding. Maybe a resources lack, for I
usually have Firefox, Thunderbird, RealPlayer and OO.o running. I think
at least one of these has a memory leak, since a reboot and restart
restores much of the loss of speed.
(Somewhat OT: The culprit may be RealPlayer for if it is left running a
long while, everything general system response is much slower.)
