Hi!
Does anyone know how to passwordprotect an openoffice file?

YES Of Course! I know how.
Now that I have answered the question that you asked, I will proceed
to tell
you how to do it.
FILE => SAVE AS => enter a file name for your document, =>At the very
bottom is a
checkbox entitled "Save with password" which must be checked. Press
SAVE and it
will bring up a dialog box for your password and password
confirmation. Type in a
minimum of five characters for your password. If the password and the
password
confirmation match the OK button will activate, pressing it will save
your document
encrypted with your password.
This is strong encryption, unlike the Micro$oft equivalent so do not
lose your password
because it will be very difficult to recover the file otherwise.
