HELP! HELP!
I am suppose to do the church bulletin for this Sunday. My deacon gave me a flash card. I have downloaded openoffice-I think I have registered. I can not find how to read this flash card. I am getting really frustrated. I log in and go to a different subject and it says I am NOT logged in. I don't know whether to delete this download and start over? or do I try to get HELP!

The standard version of OpenOffice.org, downloaded free from www.openoffice.org, does not require any login to operate. If you have a version that does require login, you may want to take it up with whoever it came from. Unless the vendor is providing an actual service, you're probably better off getting rid of that version (and cancelling any purchase charges), then getting the standard version. The software, support, and documentation are all free.

Once you have installed the downloaded version by double-clicking its icon and following the instructions, you should be able to use OOo to open the files on the flash card if they are in one of the recognized formats, like those created by Microsoft Office -- always provided, of course, that you can see the files at all.

If you need more specific help on this, we'll need to know what operating system and what version of OOo you are using, what type of file you're trying to get from the flash card, and whether the files on the card are visible to you in a list (for example, from Windows Explorer).
