Ctrl+D does something very similar (but perhaps more general) in Calc - but only with strings, it seems, not with numbers (or other items). It brings up a list of (up to 200) entries appearing in the same column. You can select the required entry using the arrow keys or jump close to it by typing its initial letter. Pressing Enter completes the process.
