NoOp, I neglected to mention above that I still have (a Swedish-language
version of) the Ubuntuised version of OOo 3.0.1 (OOO300m15 Build:9379) that
came with Jaunty installed, so when I run «apt-cache policy openoffice.org»,
I get the following :

openoffice.org:
  Installerad: 1:3.0.1-9ubuntu3
  Kandidat: 1:3.0.1-9ubuntu3
  Versionstabell:
 *** 1:3.0.1-9ubuntu3 0
        500 http://archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Note that in this version I do have access to the help files. If, however, I
run «apt-cache policy openoffice.org3», I get :

openoffice.org3:
  Installerad: 3.1.0-11
  Kandidat: 3.1.0-11
  Versionstabell:
 *** 3.1.0-11 0
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

And when I run «apt-cache ooo-dev3 :

ooo-dev3:
  Installerad: 3.2.0-44
  Kandidat: 3.2.0-44
  Versionstabell:
 *** 3.2.0-44 0
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status»

I e, the latter two don't contain a repository reference, which I presume is
natural enough, given that I installed them directly from the OOo site and
not from a repository....
