As you suggest above, NoOp, I tried renaming the two folders, but no joy, and therefore decided to try re-installing. This worked very well for the (English-language) 3.2 dev version, but despite my performing it twice on the Swedish-language 3.1 release, the results were disappointing - still no help files and clicking «Help» and selecting «OpenOffice.org Help» from the drop-down menu still causes OOo to close. Is there anyone else on this list with a non-English version of OOo 3.1 installed on a Linux box (preferable 64-bit to make the setup correspond more exact to my own) who has encountered the same difficulty ? I can note here that I do not encounter this help file problem with either my Swedish-language OOo 3.1 or my English-language OOo 3.2 versions for 32-bit Windows (tested on Windows Vista Business and Windows Server 2008, respectively)....
