Setup 1.1.4 "Illegal operation" in Win98SE OpenOffice 1.1.4
OOo 1.1.0 was running just fine; I decided to upgrade to 1.1.4 and got the following error message consistently when the Setup file tried to do its thing. It never got to any configuration dialogs: Setup This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor. Details: SETUP caused an invalid page fault in module <unknown> at 0000:b0129363. Registers: EAX=d8dd0d40 CS=017f EIP=b0129363 EFLGS=00010282 EBX=d8d73000 SS=0187 ESP=0065d588 EBP=d8d73000 ECX=d8dd0d40 DS=0187 ESI=d8dd0d70 FS=19af EDX=b00b27a0 ES=0187 EDI=00000000 GS=0000 Bytes at CS:EIP: 8b 47 04 8b 16 8b 78 14 8b ce ff 52 28 8b b0 98 Stack dump: 00000000 8304288c 00000000 b0131926 d8d73000 d8dd0d40 d8dd0d40 d8d73000 b013243c b0132544 8304288c d8d73000 d8d73000 0065d664 00000000 00000000 This on a Win98SE box with 2.5 Gigs free space in C:, running 500Mh Pentium III, 256MB RAM, 384MB swap Min, no max, Nvidia GEforce FX5200 Graphics card, 1280 X 1024 X 60Hz (native resolution for the Samsung SyncMaster LCD). After downloading a new file from a different server, and a total of 4 different attempts to install, I gave up and re-installed OOo_1.0.2 -- a mistake -- instead of going back to OOo_1.1.0. I have since upgraded (again) to OOo_1.1.0 but still would like to get version 1.1.4 to install. Thus far files downloaded from two sources have given the same (non)-result. Failures are consistent and repeatable. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
