Yeeash. It's actually easier to do than to explain...
But it's still a real pain.
Since the F11 key is there for a quick toggle anyway, it's to bad the
menu selection method doesn't offer a sub-menu: to preselect the style
etc... just before the pop-up opens...
Something like:
Format->stYles->[paragragh,character,frame,page,list,fill,new,update,load]
The same way that File->new->[text,spreadsheet,...]
{Of course, since the submenu would open vertically, the above choices
wouldn't actually have to be so abbreviated...}
Point and click people and developers tend to leave such things out of
things they think it's easier to use the mouse for. I mean, who actually
types their way through a menu to do things anyway??? (besides me!)
But I guess that's only to be expected when a function is designed with
mouse users in mind. But it stinks that keyboard users have make do with
tab navigation workarounds like the one you did such a good job of explaining.
THANKS!
