As mentioned above I replaced Photoshop with GIMP and have no regrets. I use
KMyMoney to replace Quicken and MS Money which is no longer an MS product. It
has the ability to download from banks.

As for the dual boot, I've dual booted Win XP from 1999 to 2years ago. I now
dual boot openSUSE 11.1 (production) and 11.2 (testing) until release in
November,2009. Only problem I had was when i used LILO, switched to Grub 5
years ago and have dual booted since, actual for a while I had a triple boot.
I now run win XP on Sun's VirtualBox under openSUSE 11.1. All is working. Only
reason I keep XP around is to support my wife's system when she has issues and
for TurboTax. Which i use for a couple of days once a year). It runs fine
under XP VirtualBox guest.

Not sure why your have issues with Ubunto. I tried Sabayon (branch of Ubunto)
and it worked dual booting under openSUSE.
