Since Microsoft Powerpoint is not bundled in Vista’s Microsoft Office, I looked for an free alternative to paying for something that was included in my XP on an older laptop. I am interested in trying the Openoffice, and have downloaded it. There is a lot of information about joining the projects and registering, but I have not been able to use it to find out if I like it or would be interested in joining any project. I am a history professor not a computer person. So I would like some information about how to get Openoffice up and running.
