You are completely misinterpreting the intent. Beta's, builds and RCs
are meant for those who give bug reports, contribute code, and the like.
Anyone can use it but you and I, as normal users, are not the intended

Who said that I was a normal user?

As a former mainframe programmer who's first job
was typing punched cards, does not make me normal.

I remember when "C" was just coming out.
My first PC I had to build from the parts and run
PC-DOS on it. My first "laptop" had 16 meg of ram.

I am not a normal user.

All DEVs, Betas, RCs, and such are installed in a
_beta test folder and are tested using copies of the
"data" files used with the "current stable version"
to see if everything works the same. better, or worse.

I have has mainstream big company software crash my
computers and had a brand new laptop with "4 times the
power" not do even half the work as the older version.

I once had a job to create printer drivers in the days
when a 10 MEG hard drive was so huge not one could believe
that it could ever be filled.

No I am not a "normal user". Who is? Every one has
different needs. Some should stick with the stable
builds, while those who want to test the builds to see
what it new and what works for them should not be
considered normal.

What I do not like is when someone decided for me
what I can and cannot do. If I did I would not have
3 degrees in the computer field. I would have stayed
in farm country and either drove a tractor or worked
in a fast food place.

After the first stroke I was told I could never work again.
I worked over 10 more years, including as a teacher.
I do not like to be told I cannot do something.

I will never settle for being "normal".
