Dear OpenOffice User'sGroup, Digest and Non-Digest Divisions:
I like using OpenOffice. I like the philosophy. I like the style
of most of the people who use it. I like knowing that there are so
many people who have done so much and will continue to do so much
that benefits me and other poor people like me.
So, please do not take this comment-question-suggestion as anything
but a mere incapacity on my part in understanding the OO User's
Group system of communications.
Believe me, I've tried other ways to correct the specific problem
that I have but without success.
My problem sounds simple but there is a gremlin in the system that
makes it send me both the digest version, which I want and desire
and need, and the hourly almost individual emails which I like and
appreciate but distract me from <snip>
You've apparently subscribed both to the list and to its digest, so
you need to unsubscribe from the list. Send a message to
[email protected]; subject and
content don't matter, just the address. You should soon get a
confirmation message; follow its instructions, and your subscription
to the list (but not to the digest) should be canceled, and you will
then get a "Goodbye" message.
Great post, Barbara. I booted it over into one of my Inbox folders I
use for newsgroup safe-keeping. I know a couple others with the same
problem but they don't use the newsgroup; don't know how to tell if
they'll see your message so wanted to make sure.
Thanks, always glad to help whenever I can.
