Dear OpenOffice User'sGroup, Digest and Non-Digest Divisions: I like using OpenOffice. I like the philosophy. I like the style of most of the people who use it. I like knowing that there are so many people who have done so much and will continue to do so much that benefits me and other poor people like me.
So, please do not take this comment-question-suggestion as anything but a mere incapacity on my part in understanding the OO User's Group system of communications. Believe me, I've tried other ways to correct the specific problem that I have but without success. My problem sounds simple but there is a gremlin in the system that makes it send me both the digest version, which I want and desire and need, and the hourly almost individual emails which I like and appreciate but distract me from trying to figure out if there is a quantitative relationship between abundance and type of esturine benthic macroinvertebrates and the deaths of far too many infants in our community. It's not my first choice of a topic to try and figure out, after-all just because the City has been using the local river and saltwater marsh for receiving tons of unprocessed sewage, as well as five years of sometimes processed fresh water from a broken pipe that the city neglected to tell anyone about doesn't mean there is a strong relationship, but it is indicative of some of the sequela here from the days of Mr. & Ms. Crow. And I'm not saying there's a relationship between the ignorance of what E. coli can do to a new baby and the dumping of toxic materials into the old city reservoir that killed all the fish, but one has to wonder why in all these situations, and I have not listed them all, there have been no viable ecological restoration plans even considered, other than the ones required by the state department of environmental protection -- which are less than meagre and lead me sometimes to think that they hate fish and little babies. Therefore, any help you can provide to me or to the great ones who designed and maintain this valuable discussion list, would be appreciated by me and a few mothers and about 756 fishermen and fisherwomen who are reticent to complain, very reticent.
