OK, funny, it seems to be pointed to the accurate current template directory...

/D:/OpenOffice.org/user/template

<node oor:name="DirectoryList" oor:op="replace">
     <prop oor:name="Attributes" oor:type="xs:int">
      <value>129</value>
     </prop>
     <prop oor:name="Handle" oor:type="xs:int">
      <value>-1</value>
     </prop>
     <prop oor:name="State" oor:type="xs:int">
      <value>0</value>
     </prop>
     <prop oor:name="Value" oor:type="oor:string-list">
<value>$(baseinsturl)/share/template/en-US $(userdataurl)/user/template file:///D:/OpenOffice.org/user/template</value>

I'll try remove it and see what happens.

Indeed, this seems to be right...
in that path the <version> indeed is "3" but then the filetype of the store.xcu file is a "OpenOffice 1.1" type file. Now my question is that is the method for remidiating this. I can't seem to be able to open up or edit that .xcu file?

My choice would *not* be deleting.
When OpenOffice.org is fully closed (incl quick starter), you can edit de xcu file.
I would look for old paths in there and carefully remove them.
Of course respect the file structure (which is - by the way - where the "OpenOffice 1.1" type file points to, and which has nothing to do with outdated files as such).

If you cannot find anything, you can rename the file and see what happens. Then you always can turn back.

HTH & best regards,
Cor
