Clear instruction, Barbara.  And the only important thing you didn't mention 
was how to get the numbering to start from page 2, where page 1 is some kind of 
cover sheet.

I don't know how you're supposed to do it, but my method is to right click on 
the page number field, select 'Fields' and insert -1 in a field called Offset.  
This is so important an attribute I don't know why it doesn't show up 
immediately when one chooses to insert a page number field.
