Arif,

I did what you suggested, created a new user and Calc behaves correctly!
My system is OpenOffice 3.1.1 build 9420 64 bits on a Slackware Linux machine .
When I switched back to my normal user, Calc had the same problems again.

As I run Xfce4, 2.6.1, I had Clipman working. I closed it and Calc
behaved has it should.
So it seems that Clipman caused this behavior somehow.
But Calc used to work correctly with Clipman previously, what could
have caused this problem?

I'd like to thank you very much for these suggestions! You saved my day!

Luis
