In your header (if that's where your page number is) mark the page number 
field.  On the first page, the one where you don't want a number, it will say 
1.  Make sure the number is selected.  Right click that field and select 
'Fields'.  You will see a window come up for ways to format the page numbering. 
 At the bottom right you will see a field called Offset.  Set thqt to -1 and 
your page 1 will disappear.
