OOo 1.1.4.
Windows XP (French)--don't have access to exact version; computers were
new this year.
I'll check for other details next Monday.

Today I experienced a problem that I could not resolve while dealing
with students at 17 different machines. On two machines, the dotted
text-delimitation lines that show the location of headers, footers, and
text blocks on the OpenOffice page would disappear after about 15
seconds. You could click "Affichage" (View?) and re-tick the parameter,
but it would again disappear after 15 seconds. In the limited time
available, I could not see an obvious explanation or solution in the
Help files.
Please confirm all machines are running Windows and which release of OOo
are we talking about? If windows, If windows, which distro?
Without this info, we can only guess.
I will guess that you are using 1.1.4. If not then consider upgrading as
it is more stable than previous releases. In any case, check on the
machines affected that Tools > Options > OpenOffice.org> General has
appropriate help settings. Also check the View, Appearance and
Accessibility settings have not changed. Also check Tools > Options >
Text Document > View settings are the same as a working machine.
That it for guessing on my part. Please give us the info for which I
asked so the Windows volunteers on this list can help.
