Since writing the above I discovered that on my laptop OOo *does* use my KDE settings for colours. So the question now is why OOo will not use those settings on my desktop. As far as I can figure out I have the same versions of all the OOo and KDE Debian packages on both computers - -- a real mystery. Has anyone else encountered the same problem?
