Please pardon my ignorance.  I gather the purpose of QS is to lessen the
time taken by OOo to load.  As I am using dual-core computers I do not
find the time excessive.  Because Debian so far does not include QS in
its OOo packages, I would have to go outside the Debian package system
if I wanted it -- a complication I would rather avoid -- and I certainly
don't want to use Ubuntu..

Indeed.  I discovered that I had that package in the laptop but not in
the desktop.  Thanks for the tip.
