Hi Russell
I tried all those things you suggested but there was nothing to be
learned there.

Just a thought, but it sounds like there is a style in effect that
says if it is bold it shall also be italic. Is this possible?
Anything is possible. I am not educated in the way of styles - how do I
get rid of it?

Hi James
I wouldn't regard myself as an expert, but have you tried selecting
then right-clicking the affected text, then choosing either
"Character" or "Edit Paragraph Style" - these should show you what is
happening to the text there. I find if I have both bold and italic
applied, "Character" shows under the typeface tab "Negreta Cursiva"
though under the Paragraph Style it is "Normal"
Good luck
Russell
