Well, yes, it is, and err, no, it is not. You have to remember that you're
installing a pretty large and complex program with OO.o.
For me it is not any slower than any previous version of OOo was at
installing, but I've only installed it once (and uninstalled a few hours
later because of the icons)...
I run an older 1.6 GHZ Sempron 2.8 with 1 GB Ram, and a not-very-fast
backplane. I just installed OO.0 3.2.1 and it took less than a half
hour, consistent with earlier versions. I saw other responses with
suggestions for cleaning up your system that look like they might help.
