No need to cc me as I read the list - thanks :-) This a bug & a rather serious one at that. If a user were to spend considerable time creating a document with extensive fontwork graphics, export to MS Word, and then find all of the fontwork bits missing, I reckon they'd be pretty unhappy. I know I would. I also found that pasting a fontwork into a frame also does not work when exported to Word. I can open an MS Word doc with WordArt in OOo. I can even save that document as an odt and the object will remain. I can then save that document as an .doc (Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP [.doc] from OOo (this is all 3.2.0 and 3.2.1 here) and reopen in OOo or MS Word (MS Word 2002 in this test case) with the WordArt in place. Care to see one? Attached. Also attached is the same odt with the WordArt modified from within OOo. I'd attach the exported MS Word .doc files but don't think the list will take them. They are available directly on request. Now, if I can import an MS Word document with WordArt in OOo, modify the document WordArt in the same manner that I can modify a Fontwork object, but can't do the reverse it's a bug. It's a serious bug & I recommend that Mark file accordingly.
