Hello,
I found a weird bug problem with OO.org writer 1.9.104 on Windows XP.
I created an .odt with text, some frames with pictures inside, and
custom styles. Then, I was given a .doc template, I opened it with open
office, and saved it as an .odt. Then I began copying and pasting text
and frames from my first .odt to the new template, and created some more
styles. I saved it without errors, closed OpenOffice, and when I tried
opening it again to continue editing it, I got the following error:
'Format error discovered in sub-document styles.xml at 2,3388 (lin,col)'.
I looked at styles.xml, but I don't know its format so could not find
anything wrong.
This has happened me two times, but I didn't have the time to find the
exact step in which the .odt gots corrupted. I reverted back to OO.org
stable, it doesn't seem to happen in with 1.1.4
Here are the .doc template and the already corrupted .odt:
- www.galeon.com/xdcdx/format_error.odt
I don't really want to recover the document, as I started again using
1.1.4, I'm sending this email so somebody can look inside the corrupted
.odt and help me submit a more detailed bug report (or submit the bug
report yourself if you wish).
If you need more information just ask.
Best regards,
Ricardo Sanchez
