There is a device-notifier plasmoid (or something similar). If you run it,
it will sit in your system tray. It has a USB icon but also notifies you of
CDROM events. When you click that it will list all devices connected and
will also tell you the number of options you have for each device. when you
click on a device, the item expands to show the actual options like mount,
eject etc.
