first, I don't have a Mac, so my instructions might not be 100 % correct. :) > Please help me. I'm not computer savvy, the user-support questions and > answers are Swahili to me, and I don't know what to do. I lost three hours > last night trying to install Openoffice on my Mac, and got nowhere. What we need to know, is which version of Mac OS X do you have? I'm sure, there is somewhere an "about" information, that tells you that you run Mac OS X 10.6.4 or something similar. Second, which version of OOo did you download? If you don't know this, can you give us the website, where you've downloaded the software? Third, as far as I know, if you have both a recent version of OOo and of OS X, then you don't need to install X11, since OOo can run natively on OS X. > Thanks in advance for your help. Please answer the above questions, so that we can help you further. And please reply to the list only. Thanks.
