No, it is impossible to use any program as a replacement for MS Office and there is no program named "open office". You may install OpenOffice.org or any derivate (e.g. LibreOffice, BrOffice, go-oo.org) in order to use an _alternative_ rather than replacement. The main advantage would be that all these programs produce standardized office files (Open Document Format and PDF).
Of course you can keep MS Office as an additional software on your disk.
