A document may look slightly different (do not forget that 1024x768 is a 4:3 ratio, while 1280x1024 is a 5:4 ratio) but should under no circumstances be physically different (e.g., word wraps at different locations). When printed, both documents should be identical, no matter the small differences on the screen.
