Thanks, Dave

At the risk of imposing, may I ask three more questions?

1. Can I read my Star 5.something files (off my old computer) if I use OpenOffice? 2. When I create new documents, do I have to save them in some other format (.rtf for instance) in order to e-mail them? 3. If I decide to download/use OpenOffice, should I make it my default? Are there any problems associated with that decision?

Thanks for your time! Marie

Yes, Star Office and OpenOffice.org share the same common core code and
use the same file formats. There is very little that can be done in Star
Office that cannot be done in OpenOffice.org.
