This basically puts a frame in your writer document that uses the
complete Draw features "within" the Writer document. The tools change,
options etc, just as though you were using Draw.
Must admit I haven't tried this for a few weeks. Last time I tried, OOo
crashed rather spectacularly... so I decided to leave it for a few
versions :-)
