I'm getting paranoid about my sent e-mail. Most of my low volume of

Needless to say, I'm new at this. My basic question is--- Does the
fact that a sent message is listed in "Sent Messages" an assurance
that it was actually sent?

You seem to be asking about some software other than OpenOffice.org.

Most e-mail software has the good sense to send the mail before filing it in a "Sent" folder. That means that it has been delivered to the receiving mail server. (For example, if you were to reply to this by direct e-mail to me, it would mean that the mail had been delivered to a mail server at attglobal.net, but not that it had arrived yet at my PC.)

On the other hand, it appears that you're using Outlook Express. God only knows whether Microsoft wrote it correctly.
