Hi Nathan,

If you right-click on a page number, then select Fields from the context menu, you should be able to enter a value into the Offset field... which will increase your page numbers by that number. Eg. Offset = 20, first page should be page 21. My apologies if this doesn't work, as I'm using the 2.0 post-beta builds, and you haven't mentioned which version you're using.

Also, you might want to have a look in the documentation about Master documents. Using those, you can have all your work in separate files BUT available in one main document... but you need to open the original 'child' document to modify it.

HTH.

Hello

First I want to say that I realy like openoffice.
My question has to do with automatic page numbering...

I am using the word processer to do my school work. do to the shere size of
my lesson's (I am over 32 pages and I am not even 5% done with the intire
course)I want to seperate my work into sepperate files (so I dont acedently
change any thing on the work I have allready completed) but in order to do
this properly I need to be able to set the automatic page numbering to start
at any number. For example, file "one" would have pages 1-30 and file "2"
would have pages 31-60 and so forth....

please let me know what to do

            Thanks
              Nathaniel Wildebuer
