actually gtk is graphical toolkit :)
from it's homepage http://www.gtk.org/ :
GTK+ is a multi-platform toolkit for creating graphical user interfaces.
Offering a complete set of widgets, GTK+ is suitable for projects
ranging from small one-off projects to complete application suites.
and, to be somewhat more on topic, oo.org also tries to use gtk since
some 1.9 builds :)
it still doesn't work reliably enough on some systems (for example,
mine), but i think we will hear more about gtk in association with
oo.org than before
