OO doesn't normally come with websearch assistant or other spyware. It sounds like you found a "hi-jacked" repackaging of the tool. What was the program name of the file you installed, and where did you get it?
I'm sorry but if you've installed some malware, it may be interfering with the normally easy install and un-install of openoffice. "Real" openoffice can be found at download.openoffice.org I'd suggest (in this order) * running anti-spyware tools (S&D, adaware, etc) Depending on the strength of the malware, you may need hijackthis. * uninstalling the openoffice version (try this microsoft tool which uninstalls garbaged installations http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/en ) * downloading a clean version and installing this Good luck, and sorry about your experience On 9/3/05, [EMAIL PROTECTED] <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I want to uninstall!
