Then lets try a few less clicks:
1) Highlight the cell or range of cells to be dragged and dropped.
2) With the Shift key held down, double click the last cell selected.
(This removes the border around the cell or cells as well as the handle
at the bottom right corner.)
3) Drag the cell or cells to the position you want to drop them.
4) If you want to copy the cell or cells, hold down the Control key
while releasing the left mouse key.
Try experimenting with this. You might come up with something a
little simpler.
