When I transfer data from a text-file-like output from a scientific
machine into starcalc to do some calculations or sorting, I often have
the problem that my data are recognised as dd.mm.yy or something else
stupid. my data will be converted and the original data cannot be
restored (to my knowledge).
So my questions are: where can I stop this nonsense?
are there possibilities to retain my original data or do I have to start
all over again?
