Using suse linux 9.3 and opening an old m$ word 97 doc - straight text,
no graphics or apparent complications -
It is a 2 page doc, but in OO.o (version 2.0-pre) an (extra) empty page
appears as page 2, and it all becomes a 3 page doc.
After revealing non printing characters - shows a single paragraph mark
at the top of the (extra) blank page.
When this is deleted, the page disappears, and the original file appears
identical either in windows (using OO.o 1.1.4) or suse linux (OO.o
2.0-pre), with no obvious reason for the extra page to have appeared.
I have a lot of older doc files and would like to know if this might
happen with other files, and maybe how to avoid it.
