Here is something that might help you. Make sure that Tips is
checked (ticked). Then when you put your cursor over the icon, its
description apears.
In 1.1.x, Tips is found at Tools > Tips. Make sure it has a check
(tick) mark in front of it. (Help Agent probably should be checked
[ticked] also.)
In the 2.0 betas, Tools > Options > OpenOffice.org > General.
