The problem here could be in your printer settings.  Before you click the "go 
ahead and print" button make sure the printer driver properties are set for 
Landscape Legal size.  I have printed on Legal size paper before with OOo so 
I know this CAN be done.

However, if you are opening an older M$ Word doc, you have to manually set the 
margins of the page to their correct width, as sometimes they get lost in the 
translation.

also, there are strict warnings about using BETA software in production, I 
would SERIOUSLY recommend OOo 1.1.5 for now, that is for the rest of the 
office until you get the printing worked out.
While 2.0 is an Release Candidate it is still a beta.
