I was needing a quickly way for changing from Spanish to English spelling within a document, instead of the very annoying way of going through Tools-Options-etc. First I tried to write a macro using that path, but it didn't work. I finally found the way and works very well. I wrote macros going though Format-Character-Language. Then I add them to the standard tool bar. Now I can write paragraphs in Spanish and English within a document and the spelling system uses the proper dictionary when is called.
