I was needing a quickly way for changing from Spanish
to English spelling within a document, instead of the
very annoying way of going through Tools-Options-etc. First I tried
to write a macro using that path, but it
didn't work. I finally found the way and works very
well. I wrote macros going though
Format-Character-Language. Then I add them to the
standard tool bar. Now I can write paragraphs in
Spanish and English within a document and the spelling
system uses the proper dictionary when is called.
I often need to do the same thing, but I have been associating
the text to a language by hand each time. Care to share that
macro with me?
The best solution, especially with mixed language, is to use a character
style. The language is a property of the character properties. I wrote a
macro for my Mothe that will set ALL of the text to a specific language.
It sounds to me like you want to set the selected text to a specific
language, is this correct?
That is correct.
