Hi Dave,
 Thanks for sharing this with us. Unfortunately it is too late for this to 
happen for OOo2.0 at this point - it is close to final release and no new 
features or minor bug reports are being accepted. However if you would like 
to see this feature added in the future, can you please report this in 
issuezilla ? ( http://openoffice.org -> "My Pages" -> "Register", then when 
you receive a confirmation email, "Login" and "File an issue" )
In this way the relevant developers will see your bug report / suggestion and 
you will also see the progress of this feature / bug report if it is 
accepted.
